Welcome to our 50th Anniversary Celebration! Get ready for a joyful gathering at our Sandusky property where we'll sleep, make pizza, eat, watch movies, and enjoy each other's company. This page has the additional details you need to help you enjoy a memorable visit.

Our Sandusky Home Away from Home

The Sandusky property ("Anniversary HQ" at 416 Columbus Avenue)  is where all the magic will happen! It will be our central hub for sleeping, breakfasts, delicious pizza dinner, fun movie night, lasagna dinner, game night, and enjoying each other's company. We've prepared a comfortable space for everyone to relax and make lasting memories during our 50th Anniversary Celebration. Our Host, Mary, lives next door. She is lovely and we have invited her to join us for our Make-Your-Own-Pizza experience.

About US

Here's a brief glimpse of the exciting activities we have planned for our anniversary celebration:

  • Saturday, July 25: 4:00 PM check-in, followed by a delicious "Make-Your-Own" pizza dinner and a fun movie night.
  • Sunday, July 26: The Woodin Men will make breakfast.
    • Enjoy a ferry trip to Put-In-Bay, where we will rent golf carts for on-island transportation.
    • Lunch on the island on your own. We recommend The Boardwalk at an outdoor table...The Boardwalk offers both multiple food-court-like places (burgers, dogs, lobster bisque, margaritaville etc) as well as an indoor casual dining experience. It is on the water side of the Put-In-Bay square. There are also other places to eat on the island.
    • Choose your own return Miller Ferry ride to Sandusky.
    • We will cap the day off with "Nancy's Lasagna" and game night at Anniversary HQ.
  • Monday, July 27: Muffins and Fruit at Anniversary HQ.
    • THEN...Choose your adventure! Some in our group will head to Cedar Point Amusement Park, while others can enjoy a Sandusky "Sip and Paint" experience along with quaint shopping.
    • Lunch on your own.
    • Dinner on your own if you are at Cedar Point or with the group at Anniversary HQ.
  • Tuesday, July 28: Check out is at 10:00 AM. Breakfast will be gourmet donuts (quick and easy). Feel free to hang around the Sandusky area, but we need to be out of Anniversary HQ by 10:00 AM.

Important Tips

Your Visit

To ensure you have the most enjoyable visit, please keep the following in mind:

  • Bedding and towels: No need to pack them – bedding and towels will be provided for your comfort.
  • Five Bathrooms at Anniversary HQ...each with a "full-body" shower.
  • Travel plans: Please communicate your Sandusky travel plans with us so we can coordinate arrivals and departures and assist with any airport transportation.
  • Sandusky is a complete  tourist destination, PLUS there are stores which will have what you forget to bring.
    • Kroger (about 7 minutes from Anniversary HQ) at 226 East Perkins Ave
    • Meijer (about 9 minutes from Anniversary HQ) at 4702 Milan Road) 
  • Please remember sun screen and other necessary travel protections.
  • Side trip preferences: Let us know if you have any preferences for side trips or activities beyond the main schedule. Please don't feel that you HAVE to participate with everything the group is doing.
