Stay in the Loop: Your Celebration Updates

Welcome to the heart of our celebration news! Here you'll find the latest updates, special announcements, and all the details you need to make our 50th Anniversary an unforgettable event.

Sip and Paint Change

We have changed the location of the "Sip and Paint" activity to the Anniversary HQ. The original venue has closed and our host, Mary suggested that we host the activity in the spacious dining room area. Easier and even less stressful for those who choose Sip and Paint over rollercoasters.

Your RSVP to the FUN!

To help us finalize plans, please let us know which of the optional outings you plan to attend. The link on this website's "Reservations and Bookings" page will take you to an external survey. PLEASE COMPLETE THE SURVEY BY JUNE 30 ONLY ONCE PER FAMILY UNIT.

Important travel information: Lake Erie Ferry

Those who plan to join us will take the Miller Ferry from Sandusky to Put-In-Bay (about a 30-minute cruise).

We will rent golf carts (no cars are allowed for visitors) in Put-In-Bay to explore the island where there are many fun activities .

We recommend the Put-In-Bay butterfly experience (NO ADVANCE REGISTRATION REQUIRED).

Click the Put-In-Bay Butterfly Experience link below.

There are also more family activities such as a great gift shop (touristy, I know, but where are we?) mini golf, a cave, a great kid's maze and a rock climbing wall at the same site as the Butterfly Experience.

Lunch, on your own, in Put-In-Bay. We recommend "The Boardwalk" area which is on the bay side of downtown Put-In-Bay.

Y'all can return to Sandusky on any of the Miller Ferry cruises...they sail every 30 minutes. Check the Miller Ferry website below for the schedule.

THERE ARE NO RESTROOMS ON THE ACTUAL FERRY. There are restrooms on the ferry DOCKS.

Put-In-Bay Butterfly Experience

The butterflies in the Put-In-Bay butterfly experience are very friendly. This Blue Morpheus became John's friend for more than 30 minutes. Some people thought it was because the color of his shirt matched the butterfly, but John knows it was because of his welcoming personality.

Butterflies Continue

Part of the great experience is to view the butterfly breeding operation from cocoon to wings...it's an amazing circle of creation and life.
